You first must be a certified OE worker. If you have the qualifications, the next step is to fill out an application online or speak with a representative at the union hall. If you do not have the certification, you can apply for the apprenticeship program.
The apprenticeship program itself is free of charge, but participants are required to pay union fees. The true cost of the program lies in your dedication, time, and hard work.
Most apprentices’ exclusively earn money with the union while being a contractor because while in the program you will earn 65% of the journeyman wage during your first year alone.
