Become a Heavy Equipment Operator
Three Year Program
Learn to Operate:
- Drilling and Boring Machines and
- Specialized Construction Machinery
Learn to read Grade Stakes and Construction Plans
Learn to use: Transit Hand Level, Engineers Rule, Laser, Horizontal Drill Locator
Learn to Read:
- Right of Way Stakes
- Station Markers
- At least 18 years of Age
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of High School Diploma and transcript or GED and GED Test Scores
- All Veterans need to provide a copy of their DD-214
- Proof of Residency for the past Six Months
- Valid drivers license, Social Security Card

In addition to Paid On-The-Job Training with Union Construction Companies, all Apprentices receive 144 Hours of Classroom Training each year of of their Apprenticeship.
This Training is offered to all registered Apprentices.

- Pre-Start Inspections
- First Aid/ CPR Training
